On this day, our little warriors from a total of 51 schools were gathered at 16 different beaches across Penang island and mainland to participate in this meaning and impactful loaclised global movement. The schools utilised this special opportunities to share more environmental related knowledge and raise awareness among the children and students.

Our volunteer fight thru the rain just to clean up our lovely home, Penang. This day, we engaged 14 groups of volunteers to cleanup at 14 different locations across Penang. All the volunteers continue their clean up with umbrellas and raincoat on, we are so proud to have you all. Let's Do It Penang !

Leadership Workshop
Leadership Workshop is a workshop that we aim to creating competent leaders in a Sustainable Cleanup Operation, understand the Waste Audit Methodology and as a Citizen Data Scientist in contributing to the pollution and littering data from marine debris, land and river pollution and littering.
LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP
Sharing of related knowledge and latest messages to all leader - to - be for more understanding and how to organise their own clean-up in future.
MOCK CLEANUP
A 30 mins mock clean-up giving the first hand experience to all the leaders. From starting briefing until debrief after the clean-up.
World Cleanup Day
Uniting over 191 countries across the world, the World Cleanup Day has started a green wave since 2018, joining millions of people of different cultures and backgrounds based on a simple reason – to rid our planet of trash!
Penang World Cleanup Day 2019
As Penangites, we have always known the “Cleaner Greener Penang” initiative, which aims to encourage a cleaner and greener city by restoring the living environment of the Penang community, thus bringing a better quality of life for Penangites. The Penang World Cleanup Day is a One-Day Cleanup Event led by Penangites for Penangites. We had our first Penang World Cleanup Day in year 2019, which we had gathered over 900 volunteers in cleaning up 23 zones across the state of Penang. 1455kg of trash and 268kg of recyclable waste was collected from beaches, parks, streets and community areas of Penang. This year, we aim to have 3600 volunteers to join our force for a cleaner and greener Penang.
